The "Floppy ROM" was a thin vinyl record inserted in the magazine.  You used it by connecting your computer's Kansas City Standard audio cassette interface to your record player's output terminals and playing it like a record while fiddling with the volume and tone controls until it loaded.   To my knowledge, this was the first and last attempt at distributing software via that technology...
